Lightning Products is a certified quality assured company and as such we endeavor to qualify every facet of our operation.We are also dedicated to the continued research and development of our product formulations and have implemented an internal audit system that rates our products according to their softness on the environment.

We thereby use a star system that will indicate the impact of our products on our waterways and environment.Some of our recent formulations (for example: Fresh Hand Cleaner and Euca Laundry Powder) are very environmentally friendly due to the use of naturally occurring ingredients such as Eucalyptus Oil, Citrus peel and oil of Melaluca to substitute hydrocarbon solvents and synthetic perfumes in our products. These products would achieve a three star rating.

Other formulations may have a partial substitution of petroleum ingredients (for example: Citrajell) therefore these products achieve a two star rating.

With some products we have not been able to substitute any of the potentially higher environment impact raw materials (for example: Scrubber Hand Cleaner and Degreasing Oil). As yet we have not found raw materials in nature that achieve the task asked of these products - tasks such as the removal of dried two pack paints, glues and silicones.
These products would achieve a one star rating.

We continue our search for alternatives and have so far made great inroads into producing products that are safer for the environment and individuals.
